Durham, NC March 28, 2022—FlexGen welcomes Christopher Tellex as a Senior Estimator. With a strong interest in business operations and finance, he received his bachelor’s in Business Finance from the University of Central Florida. He brings a wide range of finance and accounting skillsets to FlexGen with experiences from PricewaterhouseCoopers, Oxbow Carbon, and Power Systems Mfg.
Christopher chose to be in the energy industry a while ago due to the fact that it makes the world go round! However, his transition from the IGT side into the battery storage side was to be part of the future. He thinks the biggest misconception that people have about the energy industry is that “renewables are not reliable”. According to him, this myth would be true if not for battery storage solutions. “These solutions allow for renewable energy producers to store that clean energy much longer until required by the grid. Also, advanced software solutions allow for reserves to be introduced in a balanced manner onto the grid.”
With experience and contribution in the energy sector for over 9 years, he has seen the need to shift to a cleaner and renewable energy source. The foresight and entrepreneurial management sparked Christopher’s interest the most in FlexGen along with the company’s resume of successfully executed projects. His goal in joining FlexGen is to become a crucial part of the continuing success along with providing support and input to lead our customers into the future of energy.
